Ry::FischerRandom

According to The Chess Variants Pages, Fischer Random Chess was created in 1996 by the legendary Bobby Fischer as a proposed variant to standard chess where the initial board setup was random and therefore invalidated the use of many preset opening moves.

Fischer reasoned that from the first move onward the players had to disregard preset moves and improvise through the game.

The rules of Fischer Random Chess are similar to standard chess in most ways: the only changes are the random (to some extent) initial board setup and the strange castling rules.

Ry::Chess player Redliner first suggested I make a version of Fischer Random Chess, and I thank him for it - so far it has proven to be a challenging and entertaining chess variant.

Have fun and enjoy this version of Fischer Random Chess.
